I had a parking ticket the other day. I woz only there for 2 mins, (sneaky b#####ds) Anyway, the ticket woz all filled out, correct registration BUT the make an model of car woz completely wrong. What should i do now with it? And, Is the ticket valid? Thanx for all answers.

If the registration number is correct I suspect you may be on a sticky wicket with challenging this.


If it wrong, then you stand a good chance of having it revoked.

it wasn't me, some one must be using my reg number. my car is a xxxx not a yyyy. invalide ticket. ignore it. not legal.
only possible problem is if a foto was taken by the sh1t head when you parked.

note the paragraph; "they never put a ticket on my car." the bit saying 'ask for photographic evidence.of the contravention.' if they don't have that and have got your car details wrong, yours is red, ticket says blue. "not me guvnor"

I have been done twice for wrong recognition, 1 for speeding and the 2nd for a congestion charge in London.
Both had my registration number correct, but the first was for speeding outside London at 7-15am on a Sunday when I was asleep in my bed in Newmarket.
The second I was in Newmarket and had proof where I was at that time.
On both occasions I had to send 6 photos of my car from different angles and it turned out that my car had been cloned.
Fight it if I were you even though you were guilty, they make to much money from us motorist as it is, with road tax, fuel tax etc, etc. Fight the ********.

The warden/attendant will almost certainly have taken details of your VEL, sorry but you will have to pay up! JD

The wrong make and model of car will not invalidate the PCN

I would challenge it, unless they photographed your car? It's your word against theirs that they got the model, and not the reg' number, wrong.

I would guess that if they got the details wrong on the ticket then that would invalidate it

Be carefull which advice you take. These days, all ticket wardens take phots of the vehicle they issue a ticket to, so be careful, otherwise you can end paying much more delaying paying for the the ticket.
