Doors wont close properly
My son has a Citroen AX and he has to keep slamming the doors several times to get it to close.
We had the hinges re-aligned but the problem has come back.
Today the door flew open as he went round a corner.
Does anyone have any suggestions how to rectify the problem?
Thanks

Also, some cars, especially VWs are very well sealed, which means you have to close the doors firmly (not slam). You can test this by opening one of the windows slightly to let out some air on closing; if it is easier then you have a good seal and just adjust the strike plate(s) very slightly.
Hi All
Sorry for not responding, I have passed the replies to my brother-in-law (as I am not mechanically minded) but he is working away this week so we will not be able to try your suggestions until the weekend.
I do appreciate all replies though.
Thanks for your help, I will let you know how we get on.
