Door Freezing up
We have an Audi Q7 which has the embarrasing problem of the locks freezing up and the door not shutting in very cold weather. We have tried simple solutions but the only way of shutting the door is to thaw out with a hairdryer!! Not very practical. Doesn't Germany suffer cold temperatures or what!! How infurating. Please any suggestions. It seems the lock solenoid is freezing.

Have you at any time tried thawing with hot water ?..that just makes matters worse it washes out the grease. I suppose its also possible the hairdryer could melt the grease if it was to hot.
