rover 25 engine managment light is on

hi there i own a rover 25 04 reg 1400cc and the engine managment light has come on for no reason how can i fix this thats if i can or do i have to take it to a garage many thanks from john

its come on for a reason, you need someone with the relevant diagnostic kit to get the fault code(s).
Doesnt have to be a main dealer most garages carry the equipment and software.

The best thing you can do with this masterpiece of West Midlands engineering is get rid of it. It says so much when the build quality of Lada's was better than Rover.
