Many people on here will have passed HGVs in the morning, every other car will have their screens frozen, also the rear & side windows, how many HGVs have you noticed with the same problem? they don't, why? 2 reasons, They are fitted with an overnight heater & most important ( These were out before the Overnight heaters) CURTAINS or any counteracting force between the frost and the screen, It takes 6 Suckers, ( & I do not mean the people that own the cars) to sew theses little things onto the cloth or any old curtains you have at home, stick them to your DRY windscreen, result, NO FROST, think I'm joking, next time you see a HGV parked up for the night in this cold weather check their screen the following morning.

lol! ^^^^^

I agree with you though. Thanks. :)
TWR - there is no need to be rude. This is AnswerBank where people post questions they need answers to, so rnchugg's post is fair.

An even better way of preventing your car windows from icing up is to get rid of all that worthless junk in the garage and park your car in it.

never thought of that Ethel, isnt that what garages are for ?storing all the junk and everyones elses rubbish
must get on it the weekend...

As an HGV1 and coach driver I think you will find that most guys will have the vehicle running for some time in the yard whilst they check out the vehicle in respect of security and safety. By the time they hit the road all is cosy and clear. This is probably in contrast to the person who gets in starts up and rushes off on the school run, to the railway station or work.

Did I mention someone by name Ethel?
if you leave yourself a bit of extra time on the morning to warm up your car you should be worried by the windscreen being iced up.

twr, you responded to the only answerer at the time by referring to the as "stupid" in caps too so you were in a bad mood. no names needed
should not be worried *
