parking ticket - dated in the future...can i have it dismissed??
i got a parking ticket on the 19th of april, (unecessary obstruction) because the back of my car was slightly overlapping someones driveway and as it turned out they couldnt squeeze out... a misjudgement on my part...it looked like they had enough room to me...
but, ive just noticed that the ticket is dated the 19th of MAY...
obviously i'm no time traveller, an my friend believes that make the ticket invalid an i dont have to pay it
she says i just write a letter to the address on the ticket, and it will be dismissed.
is this corect?
any ideas what i should write in the letter??
thanks
(no lectures please...i know what i did, i accept that i shoudl have been more careful, and was just going to pay....no quibbles...but like anyone i dont want to pay 30 if i dont have to...who would?)

You will be asked if, on the 19 Apr your car was parked in 'position x ' so as to be an obstruction? You will be obliged to answer 'yes'. You will get a 30 fine + a 15 crime surcharge (aka tax) and possibly costs as well.
