gearbox problem

hi i've brought a renault senic 2.0 auto. It's ok to start with, but after a short while running the gearbox keeps getting stuck in second or third gear if you leave it to go cold and restart it, it's fine again for awhile then the same thing happen's again as anyone had the same problems or know what the solution is please let me know... thanks

I would correctly check the transmission oil level is above mininum.Look out for leaks!
It may also help to know if this oil has been changed .

hi, Thanks for all your answers, oil was checked and changed but still after awhile does the same. It does have abit of warrantee and it as gone back for the 3rd time but to a gear box specialist to hopefully be sorted, but ill get back to this if it does get sorted just in case anyone else as this problem
