I'm with RAC
was with AA- got free Greenflag when we bought a car- but went back to the AA like a shot when had to use Greenflag for a breakdown- bloody useless- took the car miles out of the way and dumped it at a dealer- had to find our own way home some 80 miles
Why not consider Autoaid

Have a read of this

AA sort of. Was a member for years, money was tight last year, so I took the option of breakdown on my insurance, Saga, for about half the price. Thing is, they are the same company, so both call outs I have had, the AA have turned up.
RAC because you can pay for it with Tesco clubcard vouchers, at four times the value of the vouchers.
I currently get my breakdown cover through Saga because I was offered a good 'combined deal' with my vehicle policy but, prior to that, I used Autonational Rescue for many years. They're cheap and they provide an excellent service:

PS: When I used to deliver vehicles for a living, the company which I worked for used the AA to provide breakdown cover. I had a vehicle conk out on me on a road called Basing View, in Basingstoke. The company called the AA but their operator then phoned me to check the address. I gave the name of the road clearly but she said that it didn't exist. I then spelt the name out for her. She still said it didn't exist. I stood next to the road sign and read each letter out, one by one, phonetically. Again I was told that the road didn't exist. She asked if there were any local landmarks that their driver might recognise. It was then that I told her that the vehicle was parked on the car park of the AA's headquarters on Basing View, which she was still refusing to accept as a valid address!

You learn something new every day .
In my work , I have regular dealings with a certain firm of solicitors , part of their postal address is Basing View , Basingstoke .

I always thought Basing View was an area - i never realise it is the name of a road .

Was with the AA, but they've priced themselves out of my reach for next year. Have read Green Flag's Policy & Terms Booklet (on Line) and their costs/services look ok.
And they are owned by Direct Line, of course which is a recommendation.
