Speeding Fine Advice

Hi there, I have received today a NIP for an alleged speeding offence that took place on February 17th.

I drive a company car and have been expecting this through as they did contact my employer previous to this date to find the driver of the vehicle.

My question is, shouldn't I of received this within a couple of weeks in order for this to apply?? Or does some sort of 6 month ruling apply to this case?

I think its 6 weeks that they have to notify the owner of vehicle.
as you say, they contacted your employer for the details of driver.

I came back to my car to see that a traffic warden had put a notice on the windscreen saying "Parking Fine". So I thought, hey that's nice of them to compliment me.

The Notice of Intended Prosecution must be sent to the registered keeper within 14 days of the offence.
The registered keeper must supply the details of the person driving at the time of the offence. They can ask for photographic evidence if they are unsure who was driving, all of which takes time.
You have received the NIP in the proper way and it is not out of time.
