A few years ago the local council decided to put some yellow lines outside a few houses to stop parking close to corners. Unfortunately these lines were outside a house where a disabled driver lives so they put her a specific bay at the end of the yellow lines. However if she is not there any number of cars - sometimes disabled sometimes not - park in the bay.
As a side note the bay has meant a 'neighbour war' with the disabled lady and her neighbour who has the bay outside her house - consequently they haven't spoken since

my son cant park the car there as he is the only neighbour who disputes it,he said if the space is empty he will park his 'own' car in it,he is being like this because i asked him if he could leave the parking space for me and he said no,he has a garage to park in ,we all have one but it;s to far for me to walk
