I am not for one minute your son does not use the badge properly, but if your car is taxed as disabled make sure he never uses the car unless you are in it, or he is doing something specifically on your behalf.
If your neighbour starts logging the use of the car you could be in trouble.
I wouldn't but unless theres a sign plate in place to back up the road markings he's doing nothing legally wrong, morally yes but legally no.
I fully sympathise and understand your position, as a blue badge holder I never cease to be amazed at the people who use MARKED disabled spaces.

I can speak from both sides of the fence - as a fully abled bodied person as fit as anyone else, just a few years ago following an accident I cannot walk more than a few yards and use a mobility scooter when my son is able to load and unload it into my car for me, just to do simple things like shopping

My wife too is severely disabled (she also was perfectly able bodied) and there is no way in the past we would have even thought of taking up a designated space or one we knew was used by a disabled person

However I have to say there are a lot of people who blatantly park, hinder walk in front of deliberately or otherwise show no consideration for disabled people and basically they should be thoroughly ashamed

I hope this is sorted soon for you perhaps a marked bay which can only be used by blue badge holders may help - anyway all the best
Who marked up the parking bay?

Presumably someone decided you deserved one. Can they not take it up with him on your behalf.

I don't agree with what he is doing, but I am trying to get into his mind.

Presumably he thinks your son should park anywhere, like the rest of the residents, and bring the car to the door when you need to go out.
Is that reasonable, or is there a flaw in his argument?

cant get the car down near the door as there is so many cars there, him and his girlfriend (policewoman)both have a car and garage, neighbour downstairs has 3 cars and garage,so all the spaces get used up quickly,i have 1 dasabled space nearest to my door, its to far to walk to the garage.
PANIC BUTTON,thats what he said to me ,what you said
Well if you can't get the car near the door, and someone has decided you are justified in having a space then I think he is being totally unreasonable.

I only wish I lived there because I would make his life hell. I'm sure the local journos on the local rag would enjoy writing a story on this.

panic button ,i'm very tempted but frightened of the consequences
You obviously have not checked whether he is an MP as well have you??
No. The French have a good sign they display. Translated it's " Please take my parking space if you'll take my disabillity!" Shaming a potential offender, making them think, seems to work there.(Pretty good, considering the French attitude to authority and rules ! )

fred ^,i'm very tempted to put that sign out,its a good one
I did by accident when it was pouring with rain and didn't see it - totally my fault and was an honest mistake as there were lots of spaces i could have parked on this road - The rain was torrential and I even sat in the space in my car for 20 minutes waiting for it to stop - I was out of the car and back within about 45 minutes and I was towed away whilst away. It was a quiet residential road and I never thought about where I was parking and had never been to this road before as was picking a friend up from a clinic appointment - it cost me £250 plus taxi home to get all my paper work and to get to the pound it was very upsetting and I would never do it deliberately. Why would you want to if someone is disabled in that particular house make it more difficult for them to get in or out?
