bubble wrap cars. don't let my mother back on the roads. new drivers should have to have 2 years experience of real driving before being let loose on the roads. don't let Mike drive you anywhere, he's a maniac.

the only solusion for better driving is better training . better training ensures that people know what to do . sadly the driving test does not cover all weather condition nore does it request that a period of night driving be done prior to a test nore does it demand that advanced lessons be a must.
Practise sessions on a skid pad can save lives if people would only take the time to do them " they are a good way of learning when no ice is readily available ".

Sara, how do you get two years of real driving before being allowed on the roads? Do we setup real pretend roads for people to practice for two years?

Making trains and buses cheap, reliable, regular and safe would do a great deal to sort out the roads.
And put non perishable freight back on the canals where it belongs.

Sounds good Lil o Lady but would not work, A box collected this morning can be anywhere in the UK the same day, By canal maybe the same Month! that is one difference, a lot of people call HGVs all the sht under the sun but name just one thing that has not come on the back of a lorry? I'm afraid there is nothing you can name.

Licence only valid for 20 years then a retest inc motorway. So folks can be taught not to be middle lane menace, waste of good tarmac.
