I know this site isn't an orange box to rant from, but Im fed up covering the cost of uninsured drivers. My premium has been reduced by a mere 25 this year! I've been driving for 10 years, got 65% no claims to my credit, and had a point free license for 7 years. Yet l still have to fork out to cover those toe-rags who get to drive round on my hard earned cash. Probably the same ones who live off my taxes no doubt...

I agree with you Morello, but unfortunately, thats life! What I think is more worrying is getting 'hit' by one of these gits and (assuming its their fault) not being able to any recompense.

A few years ago I was driven into by an uninsured driver, I got a bill for 200 to fix my car, he got some sort of community service! If I had made a claim then my insurance would have gone up as well, marvelous!

Well at least the Police are making progress with new technology to 'weed out' these people of questionable parentage. All car insurance policies are recorded on a database which the Police have access to. That coupled with number plate reading technology (APNR) they can check 3000 vehicles an hour for valid tax and insurance. Recent stings in my area have proved very fruitful !
get yourself a soapbox. I agree with you.
