speeding
i was driving at night...i stopped by the police,saying i was doing 85mph in 60mph speed zone......he gave me a 3 points and �60 fine........and i have to produce my papers to police station..i have everything but i dont want to get points...can do something about the points? thank you for your help

Furthermore, ur braking distance at 85mph is alot higher than that at 38. Have u ever tried an emergency brake at 85mph? i'd think it would be easier at 38mph. Therefore, doing 85 in a 60 is just as stupid and as dangerous as doing 38 in a 30 zone. Then again, it all depends upon the road in which he was driving, if we knew this then we could decide once and for all how dangerous his actions were!
Slim - for your information, I was caught doing 38 on a duel carriageway, where I believed the speed limit was 50, but as the road was wet I stuck to 40. The road then goes to 1 lane with the other becoming a bus lane, about 20 yards away from the start of the bus lane is the speed camera. I did not complain & I took my punishment.
