Does any one else think that front indicator lights should be mounted away from the vehicles head lights?

In certain conditions I struggle to determine whether a vehicle is indicating or not as the headlights kind of overwhelm the indicators.

I think they would be a lot better mounted at the top of each front windscreen pillar.

Any thoughts?

Most cars are not too bad, large indicator units mounted outboard of the headlights work fine. Its the current trend of giving cars small indicators mounted within the headlight unit that is the problem. The Peugeot 206 and Ford Focus (face lifted version of the Mk1) are prime examples. Talking of the 206, whoever decided that the front indicators should be so close together is need of a good kicking.

good idea in theory..but it would look a bit strange, also might cause some glare accross the windscreen in some cases

usually only obscured if the clown driving has his fog lamps on too
