mini lights

girlfriend got in her 2004 mini convertible and when she turned the lights on none of the illuminations lit up inside the car also petrol gauge wasn't working, speedometer wasn't working...

can anyone shed some light as to what to look for as i'm not sure what the problem could be.

It sounds like the fuse which covers all of the relevant circuits has gone.

is that on the normal fuse board, wherever that may be?
i are lost when it comes to bmw (old vw's and i'm sound)

sounds like a fuse to me too - a similar thing happened to me ecept it was the radio, wwipers and interior lights

I'm no expert but a bit of googling suggests that looking in the left-hand side of the driver's footwell should reveal a plastic panel, which can be removed to get at the fuses.

That's like calling out a plumber to empty a sink trap BN : )

Find the manual .. look for 'Fuses' in the index/page .. locate the correct fuse, pull it and check or replace it.
That's the first thing to do.

yes but i am a girl!
also i'm disabled so find it difficult to do any bending or fine manual things
Plus, i didn't know it was the fuse till they came out
plus, i pay them to do thos sort of thig :)

sorted it, 10amp fuse had gone.
