blocking access with cars

If someone parks a car over your front gate (which is the only access to your property) and severely limits your ability to get things, such as boxes &pushchairs in - is it illegal and what can I do about it? Also, is it legal to wheelclamp it if I have a sign up stating the fact?

Sorry, should have been more specific maybe. The car was parked on the pavement and across the gate (if that makes sense). The pavement hasn't been lowered as such, but it is low enough not to be a proper 'kerb' as such.

It is illegal to park on the pavement - even just two wheels (unless there is a proper sign indicating parking on the pavement is allowed).

Phone the police - take a photo if you like.

You cannot wheelclamp another person's car that is not on your own property unless you are licenced.
