I have a penalty charge notice where the vehicle registration number is incorrect (an"O" has been printed as a "D"). Does this make the notice invalid ? Your advice please. Gnashers

not if they have all the other details correct

No, it is considered a slight admin error and is still valid.

Disagree with other answers. The VRN is the link between the vehicle and the registered keeper. 'Your' vehicle was not therefore in contravention but some other poor schmuck. Do nothing but wait until and if, you get a Notice to Owner and then appeal on 'contravention did not occur.
