Toyota is one of the top car manufacturers in the world. They also have the reputation of being efficient and safety conscious. The company prides itself on its innovation and drive to stretch boundaries. This can be seen in their commitment to making their cars cleaner and more fuel efficient.
Consumers who are keen to cut the cost of driving with an environmentally friendly vehicle may be interested in Toyota's iQ. The new city car, which was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, is less than three metres long.
The car has a robust design and firm stance which point to its excellent performance on the road. It can achieve more than 65 miles per gallon overall (4.3 litres per 100 KM) and has a CO2 mass emission (combined) of 99 grammes per KM. This means lower fuel and road tax costs for buyers.
However, the manufacturer claims the vehicle can still carry four people comfortably and safely at speeds of over 100 miles per hour. The carmaker states: "The iQ forms a major milestone in Toyota's environmental commitment and continuous efforts to develop technologies that reduce emissions to much lower levels."
In view of this, the vehicle may appeal to those keen to combat the rising cost of motoring.
