I'm not sure that I've ever been to what most people would call a 'gig'. OK, I've seen loads of pub bands 'gigging' but I suspect you'll say that doesn't count. I've also been to plenty of 'concerts' (from the Vienna Boys Choir to the Spinners and Ralph McTell) as well as 'events' (such as local 'world music' days in public parks) but, again, you'll probably say...

The last was A pink floyd cover band called 'Pulse' or 'Eclipse' about ten years ago in a Leeds nightclub so the light show was set up and the band were top, notch. Most impressive. Alas I was too you to ever see Queen with Mercury so my Favourite has to be any of the Roger Taylor gigs I've been to obviously performing some of his own penned queen songs as well as the classics.
It's great to see the variety here of bands/performers listed.
I see quite a few here had their last (hopefully not literally "last") concert attendance quite a while back, which reminds me of the fact that every now and then when I'm feeling a bit melancholy I check up to see who's still musically active. I've been pleasantly surprised.
I check on Dame Vera Lynn every now and then, she's still alive and kicking but I wonder if she still sings. She'll be 100 next March ..bless her.

Just remembered I saw Madness at Newmarket races a few years ago and they were excellent, the last race had just finished and everyone was rushing round to the front of the grandstand and I was queuing up to collect my winnings from the last race when all of a sudden I heard a massive "HEY YOU, DONT WATCH THAT...WATCH THIS" blast out.
