Unusual stringed instrument ,2 words beginning with 'S' and 'G'

My daughter has been asked to find out what a particular stringed instrument is called..it has 2 words ..first beginning with'S'-5 letters and the second with 'G'-6 letters. The picture is of a stringed instrument but it is horizontal on a stand (like a keyboard type lookalike!) I have searched everywhere but can not find the answer!

It is definitely "Steel Guitar" commonly used in country music. Takes some playing though!!
