Telecaster Mod

The single coil bridge pickup on my (amercian standard) tele has conked out, so I'm thinking of replacing it with a humbucker type to give it a fatter sound.
Has anyone got any advice or recomendations of make/model for this?

In 47 years of playing I've never heard of a pickup conking out - are you sure it's not the switch?

Have a look at this, which is a humbucker designed to fit the neck position of a Strat, so would probably fit without the need to cut the body.

Thanks rojash. It could be the switch - I don't know yet because I'm taking it to a tech to look at next week. I can't DIY it.
But even if it's just a loose wire I'm thinking of doing the mod because I've never really been happy with the sound of that nexk pickup.

Yeah, I've also got an American Standard Tele, and I rarely play it because it sounds so thin. I know that a lot of musicians can get a good sound from a Tele, but I'm not one of them. My mate's got a Tele with a humbucker at the bridge rather than the neck, and he's also fitted it with a Fender-badged Bigsby whammy bar.

Don't know if you're still reading this, but it was the Pickup that had gone.
However, I decided against the Mod and will keep the standard as it is, and probably just get one of these in addition and some point...
