the headline says "depressing", but the report suggests they really meant "sad", as in most likely to move the listener to tears.
the complete survey list is shown in the article - are they truly the songs that most move you to tears? or are they just depressing?

Depressing, or moving depends on the mood you are in (or want to be in)
There's quite a few decent one's in that list, REM I agree with, and Nothing compares to you, I also agree with B00 sugestion, Hurt... but I'm surprised that Eric Clapton, Tears in Heaven isn't in the list.
