i always find amazon.co.uk is useful for this as many of the reviews are written by users, so they can be a bit more constructive than "this album's great - buy it!"

yeah but equally i think that Amazon user reviews are biased because i think you're more likely to be motivated to write a review if you love an album than if you dislike it or, least likely of all, are somewhat indifferent towards it.

nme.com has an archive of reviews. also xfm.co.uk has some recent ones.
