i would love to know thew name of a song i heard many years ago. i cant really remember any lyrics but the song was about a husband who planted a tree with his wife and she dies but the tree keeps growing and he misses her.

Eastender was right.  I heard that song back in 1992 when I was dating my husband and I cried and cried I loved the song.  I never heard it againg I've been searching for this song since than.  Even my parents who grew up in the 50 and 60 couldn't figure it out!!

Honey, quite possibly my least favourite song of all time (sorry, wariodolby), was actually a hit in 1968 and again in 1974. Or to put it another way, it was first a hit in the year I was born, and then again when I was old enough to be pyschologically scarred for life by it. My mum loved it, and played it a lot. Thanks for dragging up that piece of childhood trauma. :-)
