I interviewed Marrianne Faithful last year, and you can so easily see what a hynotic beauty she must have been at nineteen, no wonder Mick Jagger was so smitten.

The one thing that never changes in all of us is our eyes, and hers are still that gorgeous luminous green, she was captivating.

I saw her play on stage that evening, and when she sang the beatific smile, the years just melted away.

Who remembers PP Arnold? I did a gig with her in the 60s when her backing band was "The Nice" (Keith Emerson at al). She was lovely... and she took the time to chat with the humble support band as well. You don't often get that these days.

Melanie Safka .... I can only recall her with sadness

I interviewed her for radio in 1974 and she started telling me how the record company had forced her to have an abortion and then she started crying inconsolably.

I had to stop the interview (most of which we couldn't use anyway for legal reasons) and I was traumatised!

It's true, Marianne Faithful was incredibly beautiful and according to Keith Richard had the best t1ts he'd ever seen - and i expect he's seen quite a few.
