Anyone know why the BBC cut away from REM for an interview with two nonentities?

i noticed they did that a few times thru the day.surely they could have used the interviews as padding in between the acts rather than keep asking each other 'whats your highlight ?' !

Velvet Revolver were SUPERB, Yes I was annoyed about the cut away from REM. Did anyone see The Cures performance in Paris?

Same thing happened at the Eden Project.
One of the best acts was Kando Bongo Man and they cut away for some really boring talk, I didn't need to hear what was goin on at Hyde Park etc. when they came back the act had just finished. Then bu***r me, they did it again 2 acts later. In between acts there was plenty of time to talk to the critics.
Only black mark on a marvellous day.
