Unusual and wonderfully presented.
He is FANTASTIC live and such a nice guy - met him and seen him perform several times.
Good eh? :-)

...and another :-)))

Wow! That's pretty amazing. I've never seen that done before :-)
Question Author
He's great isn't he!? Did you watch the second one? The fun really starts at around 1 min 35.
He's the most skilled user of a loop pedal I've ever heard of.
I like that and was reminded of Bobby McFerrin. I went to find something really clever by him but stumbled on this...

...That's not to detract from your guys live use of the loop pedal, very clever.
Question Author
He is SOOOO fluent with that live looping - totally second nature.
The guy also has an incredibly sharp wit which comes across in his shows.
I too was reminded of Bobby McFerrin when I first saw Mal Webb perform.
Question Author
That was fantastic! Talk about audience response!!
Yup! Never I'd seen that before either.
Question Author
Actually Mal refers to Bobby in this 'yodelling tutorial'!

Clever stuff. First saw looping done by K T Tunstall on Jools Holland.

Check out this guy too ...if the link works!

...and it didn't of course!

Question Author
I was going to mention Beardyman - glad someone else did:-)
I use the same loop sampler as KT Tunstall - it's v user friendly for an absent minded git like me! It's an Akai Headrush E2 incidentally, though KTT calls it her "wee bastard"!
So cool seeing a song constructed right in front of your eyes totally spontaneously.
Question Author
Yes - isn't it. It's fantastic when Mal Webb does his stuff live and includes audience participation!
Question Author
...for example:

Anyone mind if I mention Ed Alleyne Johnson at this point?

Question Author
Not at all. That was brilliant!
This seems to have evolved into the "looping" thread tonight :-)
Love it. (Nice footage too)
Ah, an excuse to post this again:

Chuck shared this on a previous thread on the subject:

Nice, keep 'em coming
