This could have gone into of number of categories. Jimmy Fallon uses an app to create a four-man doo wop group with Billy Joel and sings The Lion Sleeps Tonight. Have a listen because I think it's brilliant.

Go through the link and underneath the video is this passage...

I love how they make out that this is not rehearsed - yeah right!
Acoustic musicians use a looper all the time.
