Hello AB's. Does anyone understand how spotify works? As far as I understand it I pay a monthly fee and get to download and listen to as much music as I like. Surely this can't be right or everyone would be paying for just one month, downloading everthing they can think of then cancelling or have I got it wrong?

I don't think there's any downloading involved. You just have access to whatever you want on demand.
Sort of an in-the-cloud jukebox.
I don't use it but I thought Spotify only streams music so you can't download it but you could record it via software such as Audacity.
^ Which isn't strictly legal... copyright laws and all that. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

We use Spotify, pay a monthly fee then there are no adverts. Every type of music you could ever want but it is only streaming not downloading. It can be recorded but would be illegal.

I'm still amazed that anyone uses Spotify when there are plenty of ways to download and keep music.
Not that I condone that sort of thing, you understand......
