Without a doubt it must be the dishwasher. I've got lots of fantastic gadgets which make my life a lot easier but I think I would cry if the dishwasher died.

Dishwasher, without a doubt.

It had a bit of a wobble a few months ago. Out of action for about 36 hours. Thought I had fallen through a time warp and landed in the middle ages.

It's on 2 or 3 times a day.

Kettle - I even have one in every room just in case I cant get to the kitchen for any reason.

when I first got married I didn't have fridge,washing machine,no telly etc .its amazing how you manage,we managed to get hold of a radio no one else wanted and that kept me sane,a wee electric fire was my toaster as well as a fire,a plastic box with a lid was my fridge kept outside the window ledge,we stayed in a room and kitchen,we were given a tin bath(all the neighbours up the close used to ask to brrow it)AND they were great days.

I was the same as you back then slinky-kate,what on earth do we do with all our time nowadays,apart from what we are doing now!!The youth of today cannot understand how we managed without these things which of course are taken for granted now,lol.

I've got electric tin-opener, Paddywak, but they're not very good at opening them fray bentos steak and kidney pies!
