Bono Injured Blessings In Disguise
I am without doubt one who can't bare Bono in any shape or form, whilst this may be the case U2's music I like apart from the vocals ,Imagine my delight when instead of Bono doing the lead vocals in Times Square at the weekend Chris Martin (Coldplay) sang a couple and then after a dreadful short set by Kanye West (with backing tracks) Bruce Springsteen came out to sing a couple of songs with U2,Where the Streets Have No Name, was superb. This to me shows the work of the Band of U2 is NOT just Bono .
You can watch the set complete with a couple of songs by Carrie Underwood one with The Edge on guitar,on The Rolling Stone (Magazine) Web site .
Great Stuff

After the main concert, he strolls out by himself, takes a mike, and stands there to begin clapping with a slow rhythm, nearly two minutes of it.
He then announces, "Every time I clap, a child in Africa dies of starvation or AIDs - we have to do something."
A Weegie-accented voice from four or five rows back shouts out, "Well, stop fecking clapping then."

They haven't made a decent album since All That You Can't Leave Behind in 2000 and Bono has really gone overboard with his views in the last 10 years. I certainly won't be paying through the nose again to see them tour next year pity as they were a really good band in the early years and were terrific live in small venues.
