Hi MsBehave, Iris is an excellent song, but it is an oldie, released in �98. And goo goo dolls are even older themselves, their first album came out in 87!

They were a one hit wonder, though, this was their only hit, released in July 1999, it got to no 26.

The band's older than me! It is a brilliant song, they had a couple of other songs off Dizzy Up The Girl that were released but never got enough exposure. If you like them, check out all their albums, and then try The Dawn Parade as they have a similar sound but different style

This song was also on the soundtrack for the film 'City of Angels' which I think may have starred Meg Ryan, though I'm not 100% sure.

yeah, I like it, my brother and his wife had it as their 'first dance' at his wedding, it brings a smile to my face when I listen to it. Unlike his best man, who had Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit as his first dance....I kid you not!
