As to 'the King', never got that, never will. Just another singer got lucky and promoted.

It doesn't say much for the singer when he has to tack on the voice of a singer who's been dead for nearly forty years, at least he didn't destroy the definitive version by Peggy Lee. I think the King would have found it quite funny.

Near the end of Frank Sinatra's life he made one (or maybe 2) duet albums.

He never actually met any of the singers who he dueted with, the vocals were recorded in totally different studios at different times.

Some were even recorded on different continents at different times (Frank in the USA and someone else in the UK for example).
