I saw Leon Russell two years ago in Montreal.
Given his status and stature as a musician, I was seriously disappointed when he sat there and phoned in his performance.
If someone is going to put on a paid performance, they owe it to their audience to at least look interested, and preferably to deliver a show commensurate with the $90 price tag for the privilege of watching it.
Sad - but a sad loss as well, of course.
