Such is this man's reputation.

Wow! As a run of the mill 'plonker' (so to speak), I'm impressed!

Good grief...even a seemingly innocous thread about a talented musician turns into a slanging match. Can't you all just walk away once in a while...?
This may do it Pasta.

Talented chappie no doubt but,as has been mentioned, there are many many suchlike buskers around Europe..incredible talent that goes undiscovered....depends on your taste in music ..genre etc... but I would not question Andy's comments , he is a professional music critic and by and large his observations are valid ones....you should read some of his stuff..his modesty prevails..but articles I have read has been very good...
have ^^
Pathetic. Bunch of last worders.
Bit harsh, I think Mr Grace and Mr Meyer are quite good.

murraymints, //I would not question Andy's comments , he is a professional music critic //

That's your choice, but I would. He doesn't earn his living from writing, so 'professional' is stretching it a bit.

I didn't get an answer to my question, so back to the thread. Perhaps others have an opinion.
Naomi - I use the term 'professional' in its wider context - as in I am paid for my writing.

You know that as well as I do, but you wouldn't let that stop you from demeaning what I do - why, I have no idea, but you do so at every opportunity.

Is it because you don't earn money from your passion, so you are jealous because I earn money from mine?
Question Author
andy-hughes, you have no idea how I earn my money and I'm unlikely to tell you, but I would very much like to draw a line under yet another andy-hughes show and get back to the subject. I trust that's acceptable to you.
Naomi - I am not remotely interested in how you earn money, but rest assured, whatever you do, I would not feel the need to belittle it at every opportunity - that nastiness I leave to you.
Mmm very good.
Question Author
andy-hughes, as I said earlier your hang-ups are your problem. Now let us get back to the thread.
Naomi - //andy-hughes, as I said earlier your hang-ups are your problem. Now let us get back to the thread. //

You are the one who regularly scoffs at the fact that I am a music writer - why I have no idea, but it doesn't appear that I am the one with 'hang-ups'.

I tried on Page One to stop Talbot from derailing your thread - I needn't have bothered, you are doing a perfectly wonderful job of that yourself.
Question Author
andy-hughes, carry on if you must. I'll come back when the thread's on track again.
I've done now - your post is too vanilla and mundane to go any further anyway - it's only me defending attacks from you and others that has kept it going this long.

You leave, and I'll leave as well - everyone else left hours ago.
They knew he had never
Been on their T.V.
So they passed his music by
Grrr, Naomi. You've got me watching street performers all day. (using all my data up. ;-( )
