Mine was 'Have I Told You Lately That I Love You' by Van Morrison, and my wife chose 'One Shining Moment' by Diana Ross. You'd have to have a swinging brick for a heart not to be moved!
I think the idea of the first dance song is that it's a song that's special to you as a couple, and whilst us lot posting our own wedding songs to you may be fun, I hardly think it's gonna be special to you and your future spouse :-)

thing is we have loads of special songs to many to choose from, my favorite is shania twain "From this moment on" but not sure

from one sharon to another

Is endless love by Lionel Ritchie & Diana Ross

in your favourites, I had that, just have a listen

to the song

I reccomend "I Hope You Dance" - the original Leann Rimes version, not the sickly Ronan Keating cover.

dont like endless love, had it for my first wedding not a good idea. mind you the marriage did last 17 years

Pesonally i love the song 'Amazed' by lonestar. It is a beautiful song and i love the lyrics.

Here they are:

Every time our eyes meet
This feeling inside me
Is almost more than I can take
Baby when you touch me
I can feel how much you love me
And it just blows me away
I've never been this close to anyone or anything
I can hear your thoughts
I can see your dreams

I don't know how you do what you do
I'm so in love with you
It just keeps getting better
I want to spend the rest of my life
With you by my side
Forever and ever
Every little thing that you do
Baby, I'm amazed by you

The smell of your skin
The taste of your kiss
The way you whisper in the dark
Your hair all around me
Baby you surround me
You touch every place in my heart
Oh, it feels like the first time, every time
I want to spend the whole night in your eyes

Chorus

Solo

Every little thing that you do
I'm so in love with you
It just keeps getting better
I want to spend the rest of my life
With you by my side
Forever and ever
Every little thing that you do
Baby, I'm amazed by you

Having said that, as BOO said the main thing is that you chose a song that is special to you both and that you love. Although there are so many songs to chose from i understand your need for advice.

I am no where near the stage of getting married but i love the song 'amazed' and would love to have it as my first song at my wedding. Although if me and the person i marry have a different song that is 'ours' that i love this may change.

Have you got a shortlist of songs that you love and are special to you to chose from?

begining of next year

I dnt kno wot song 2 suggest bt congratulations wit ur wedding x

I went to a wedding, where the newlyweds danced to "The First, The Last, My Everything" by Barry White.

It's a good song to dance to, because it's a bit more upbeat you can do more than just sway, and it's not that lovey-dovey or cheesy, if you're not in to that kind of thing.

At the wedding, the couple put a few steps together, and it was fantastic! It wasn't long until others were joining in too!

personally I love barry white but i think his version of billy joels just the way you are is just perfect or how about queen love of my life seriously its just lovely, or anything that harry connick jr is an old faithful.
If you don't mind a more 'up tempo' track, then how about 'Third Finger,Left Hand' by Martha & The Vandellas. Oh, and Andy Hughes, not like you, the original 'I Hope You Dance' was Lee Ann Womack.
Into My Arms by Nick Cave
