Mamya, I can remember the first time I heard that, and the tears just fell out of my eyes.
My choice was the theme they played back in the 60s on the 'This Week' programme.( I think!)
They never used to play the build up to it and I love that part.

I enjoyed that Barsel and for some reason it took me back to the theme from Black Beauty although I know it's entirely different
I remember that, Barsel! Found myself humming it...
Another Intermezzo:-
A couple of new favourites (separate posts):

Oh, danny, thats my favourite piece of music. I also love Enrico Tosellis Nightingale Serenade, Highland Cathedral plus a lot more.
I'll go with my usual two; first one

Glad you enjoyed it. My all time favourite is Rhapsody in Blue but it plays for too long so if you don't mind, I'd like to play this as my dear old Mum loved Strauss and it was always her wish to go to Vienna for the Strauss concert at New Year. I wish she had lived long enough to see Andre Rieu as I'm sure she would have loved his orchestra.

Saw/heard this at The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester when Karl himself conducted - almost had me in tears.

Barsel I walked over the bridge from Buda to Pest some years ago in Winter sunshine and oh how blue the Danube was then, I'll never forget it
Canary, Anna Netrebko is one of my favourite sopranos, a beautiful voice.
Such wonderful music being chosen. Thank you.
This is a magnificent sound-track even though it is not really "classical" in the true sense of the word:

Wow, I'll be playing these tonight instead of Classic FM Thank you
my favourite piece, Yo Yo Ma, Bach Cello suite No 1

A bit more early dance music. This particular dance...volta...was a favourite of Elizabeth I. I envy anyone who plays an instrument...even more so when they can play both a drum and pipes at the same time.
