Christmas song title

I am trying to find out the name and artist of a christmas song with just a few words, can anyone help? I think it is an early eighties song, here goes

" We wish you a hopeful christmas, we wish a great new year" thats all I can remember clearly but it has a church choir in it, church bells, it was a guy singing and the general feeling of the song is he was a child found out that there wasn't a real santa I think. Sky are using the intro to advertise their new packaging deal for christmas. If you have any idea with my meagre clues, I'm seriously grateful because it's annoying as hell trying to figure it out. Thanks.
