putting the dog down/spacedog video

Some years ago I saw a music video that made me cry to the degree that I now have no clue at all as to what music it was (and that's my question.) Don't remember whether or not there was much connection between the lyrics and the video, but anyways: In the video, a young man at home is getting ready for his day, getting dressed, watching the clock - is it time yet? No, not yet. He sits down, waits. It's a sad wait. His faithful dog waits too. Eventually they get in the car and drive to, well, Cape Canaveral or wherever. The dog is going to be sent out into space! There are some photograps too, maybe the dog gets to take a few along, depicting his master, or maybe it's the young man that sits holding a photo of the dog at the end of the video. Watching this video I gradually understood that it was a metaphor for having to put your pet down, and it broke my heart. But I want to know what it was - who sang, and what was the song.

i know exactly what your talking bout and have been searching for months ad months to find out who it was. it was so so sad. did you find out. my search has been unsuccessful so far.

Nope, never did find out. But I was thinking about the video/this question just the other day! If ever I do find out I'll try to remember to go back here and tell you.

The funny thing is, The Motorhomes are Swedes (as am I) and according to Google they come from a town called J�nk�ping - where I lived for six years... I had no idea!
