Song about bricks and a building site?

Written in the 70's the song tells the story of a barrel of bricks travelling up and down a pulley on a scaffold on a building site. As the barrel hits the top, some bricks drop out and fall to the ground, as the now lighter barrel falls back to the ground more bricks drop out. I know it has nothing to do with Bob the Builder but that is where I run dry. Please help... Cheers

It was actually written By Gerard Hoffnung in the 1950s and was recorded when he addressed the Oxford University union in 1958. If you cut and paste this link
