KT Tunstall tribute act

Hi

I have been told a few times that look a bit like kt. and the other night i did karaoke and quite a number of separate people said i sounded like her too - one guy actually thought i was her and asked what i was doing singing in a pub!

Well it occurred to me that if this is the case perhaps i could have some fun and earn a few quid in a tribute band

however - is she big enough to warrant this yet? would anyone hire us?

and does anyone know any agencies etc that specialise in this sort of thing - or are they usually just borne out of love for the artiste?

I realise the opinion of a few people in a pub is not exactly reliable but i guess it can't hurt to look in to it.

I'm not sure that people would book you as KT Tunstall alone, you'd probably need to do a specialist spot in an all round band I think. You may be able to contact a lookalike agency rather than a music promotion agency. Get some video of your act and send it to them, I would think you'd have a better chance of success that way. As for a name, how about KT Turnstile? (perhaps not).

I am not enough like her to be just a lookalike, (at least I don't think so) I'd have to do the 'act' - dressed up and singing definitely.

Many have said I have more 'a look OF her', than being 'the spit'

I am just not sure she's big enough - i could always do alanis morisette too perhaps - LOL
