This was from about 89-90 and it was a slow trippy tune with the sound of seagulls at the begining and the lyrics 'And the doors are where the windows should be, and the windows where where the doors should be'. For some reason I have the word Poltergeist in my head too! but that may be because of too many raves! Anyway does anyone remember this and know what its called and by who?

Cheers

Your in luck!! Ive just been through boxes of my old vinyl in the loft and have tracked down the record you are after! It is called the Psychotronic EP by Earth Leakage Trip and was released in 1991 on the Moving Shadow Record Company , it was pretty rare on release but im sure ebay or Juno or another site will have a copy. It is a top tune!! Good Luck and Happy Hunting!

There's another possible answer too:

Earth Leakage Trip - The Doors (Rising High Records).

It was released in 1992 & does also feature a small sample from the film Poltergeist.

It is defiantely the Psychotronic EP as it does sample the little girl saying the doors are where the windows should be and the windows are where the doors should be. I ended up having a listen and forgot what a good tune it was!
