Jose Gonzalez' song Heartbeats was a dance track originally done by The Knife

Does anybody know of any other songs that were originally dance songs but then covered and made it into main stream, because i cant think of any off hand.

just fuelling my curiousity now

Pet Shop Boys did a cover of 'It's Alright' and made it slightly poppier.

Also, I recall The Style Council covering Promised Land by Joe <something or other>.

That's the only two I can think of.

Check out the 'Barefoot' album - just came out all dance tunes redone - very random but some of them work well.
