To all of you who are going tonight have a great time (any tips on travel / parking / how long it takes to get out of the car park etc would be much appreciated). I am going on Saturday and we have golden / inner circle tickets. Does anyone know how many people have these tickets and if it gets really crowded / squashed as it's near the front?

I went to see Oasis last year at the Bowl.

Do not, repeat, DO NOT park in the car park as getting out can take over an hour (took us an hour and a quarter). If you can, get there early and park in a nearby housing or industrial estate and walk.
..... or park near the station & use the shuttle - saw Bon Jovi there, afterwards the crowd control was remarkably efficient & we got to the station in around 30mn from concert end.
i went to see Green day last year and went on a national express coach - i realise that now it may well be too late, but you could always see if they are running a coach?

I would reccommend not parking in the car park, and it will be really overcrowded and when we went it took over an hour just to walk out of the actual bowl itself when the concert had finished!

just a quick note aswell, the walk from the bowl to the station is quite a walk, we were told it would take a max of 10 mins, but in reality it was about 1/2 an hour to an hour!!

We werent in the golden circle, but it didnt look to be too crowded, though i would suspect you will get squashed if you go near the front! my advice would be to stand somewhere where you wont be squashed as its not a great feeling to be feeling ill for all the concert!!

i think its 200 people in the golden circle - but thats only a guess...

hope you have a good time :-)

Wow thanks! I was thinking there would be thousands in the Golden Circle. Also - is the Inner circle the same as the Golden circle - I was told the tickets were for the Golden circle but then when I received them they said Inner Circle?!?
hi Nicky,

my only guess would be that the inner circle is infact the golden circle.. at the greenday gig there was only the golden circle so im guessing it will be the same layout.

^ i found the official bowl site to be very helpful with facts & also the message boards are also good for any particular questions you want answering.

also another thing is it does say on the site that bottles (dont take glass) like water & juice bottles will be confiscated but we took a backpack and had about 4/5 bottles of juice and water in and we didnt have a problem, they didnt even look in our bags!
oh and if you get hungry dont worry there is every kind of food imagineable, not actually in the bowl, but just outside once you get through the gates there is a big part with lots of food sellers and stuff.

Theres also beer tents and most likely a merchandise stall once inside the bowl.

hope this helps :-)
1977nicky, good advice from thoes people, i traveled by coach and had to waite about an hour, wherever you stand you will get a good view, but advoid the merchandice tent near the front, spoiled the view abit!! t-shirts started from 20-60 and progs are 12, food is expensive so take your own, we were told that if you mention on the gate your diabetic you can take food, water etc in, i'd be intrested to know what his song list is , its different to what i was told, anyhow have an amazing time and enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!! ps. and it didnt rain either,
1977nicky, one more thing, the beer token tent closed early through robbies performance and so did the drinks tent,
Hi just to say I went last night and it was bloody fantastic Orson supported who I missed followed by Basement Jaxx at about 7pm who were fantastic I didnt thnk I was that keen on them but they were brilliant live - Robbie finished at 10.30 last night and did about 2 hours I think (bit drunk by then) - the bar did close early they told us it would be about 10.15 but it wasnt more like 9.30ish and they dont refund the vouchers which are 3 each - I cant help with parking sorry as I got cab from hotel which was only 12 miles away and they charged 35 each way the thieving b++tards! Enjoy you will have a fab night the only down bit was Jonathan Wilkes came on and it was very very very cheesy!
