Hi all, im not familiar with i-tunes as i dont use an i-pod, can anybody explain to me in basic terms what its all about, i.e. do i need an i-pod or can i just download i-tunes and use the site to obtain mp3's ?

on the site it says free tunes by way of file sharing, but i saw vouchers in tesco to pay for music, which is it ?

To be honest i would rather pay to download music from a site that is safe than risk my pc and security by file sharing (if im making any sense) so is this i-tunes any good for me ?.

Thanks in advance

iTunes won't allow you to download MP3 files - it's a special format that only operates on Apple-brand music players, like iPods and iBooks. If you want to want to download MP3s, you might be better looking at a oiece of p2p filesharing software like LimeWire. The software (and, importantly, the downloads) are free.
Oh, and it's 79p per track, meaning to download a 12-track album is going to set you back about 9. It's almost as cheap to buy CDs these days.
