hi has anyone else had problems downloading from limewire recently or is it just my crap pc? its currently downlading at a speed of 2KB/s !
any help please?

i dont want to be the bearer of bad news but limewire put a load of viruses on my pc it took me ages to put it right id uninstall it asap if i were you.

ive had no probs with limewire...ive heard storys tho...get a good anti viruis and its ok if i down load anything it goes between 100-125 kbs....then scan and u will be ok

yeah weve had viruses from limewire befor but this hasnt effected the computer itself, or even the search speed on limewire, just the download speed?
we dont mind the viruses cos we use a crappy old comp for downloads just in case (we keep all the important stuff on a better pc) .

Run a decent anti-spyware program and try again I think you'll find your download is slow due to spyware build up, also clear out your internet files every now and then...

I've only had it for a few weeks since i got my laptop and sometimes it's pretty quick whereas sometimes it takes absolutely ages! Right at this moment it won't even search properly and the connection strength is really low for no apparent reason.

what sort of files should i erase to free it up? and whats a spy-ware thing? i thought anti virus was what helped? now im confused!

go to tools on your toolbar click on internet options then a window will pop up click on delete files and if you wish delete cookies im no expert but it might help free some space on your pc.also why not install an anti spyware and adware.try adaware.hope it helps.

Since the demise of winmx which was superb, i have paid for and used limewire and have had no probs up to now(fingers crossed)
Yes its a bit slow and most people dont allow you to browse their files but its better than nowt.
