am I the only person who does'nt like this group. I was subjected to the Brits at my daughters the other day and Oasis to me just make an almighty row. They also seem to be musically inept.

I'm not keen either. They have one or two tunes that I can tolerate, but the whole 90's Indie rock thing generally leaves me cold.

I like Noel as an artist - he is a good singer and songwriter but not as a person

I would never buy an album of theirs, don't like them as a band at all

For me they are up there with the Stones, Stone Roses, Beatles, Led Zep, Primal Scream, Pink flloyd etc.

I have to agree with cartman. They are an extremely talented band who write and perform great songs. They had a dip a few years back with a couple of their albums but are now back on top form. I would definitely put them in my top 5 bands of all time.

i normally like them and rate them but liam's voice was well off the other night. normally he is a bit more in tune but this was quite shouty. didnt like it

Oasis rock! I cannot dispute that they are heavily influenced by the Beatles but I actually think they are way better( but there again I think loads of other bands are way better than the Beatles).

I don't think they've lost anything since their early days of Shaker maker etc. Long may they reign!

Oasis better than The Beatles?...pleeeeese lets get things in persepective. This thread could go on for ever, as any musical thread could. One man's meat is another man's poison etc. Oasis: great band, whether you like the members or not.

I can't be doing with them either, I hate doing them 18th and 21st disco's and you get the usual pi**ed up youngsters wanting to sing Wonderwall and Don't look back in anger at the top of there voices, *******....

I can't stand Oasis. Possibly more than I hate Simon Cowell.
They have one bland unoriginal song which fell out of the sixties and all they do is keep rehashing it.
Anyone who thinks they're original is kidding only themselves.

I wouldn't mind so much if their musical output varied. But it doesn't. At all. I remember the media created Blur vs Oasis battle for the number one spot and not caring - Country House was fun but silly and the Oasis track boring. But looking back over the years Blur have proven themselves to be the far more capable and talented musicians than the Gallagher brothers could ever hope to be.

Absolutely not my friend, but unfortunately if it wasn't for Oasis there would be no one to rewrite all the beatles songs!
