I Monster did not sample The Beta Band.

"Squares" and the album it appears on "Hot Shots II" were both released several months after "Daydream In Blue".

This doesn't half get boring. Every few months someone asks what this record was, and then people discuss who sampled what and blah blah blah. It feels like I'm living life on a loop.
