good point silver james morisson and paolo nutini are probably more relevant for people nowadays??
Hi Silversky,as i said earlier,i love 60s,but i also like MCR,Muse,Enter Shikari and Fallout Boy.So,i agree with what you`re saying.
Hmmm, kind of legend... there is some other band I would think of... I.e My Chemical Romance, Lostprophets and Less Than Jake for me though.
But I do like a bit of james morrison.
And yes =] hau kola, Muse is my all time favourite band, although a bit mad, so would kind of contradict my point.
But I'd say they could be a modern day beatles, they appeal to young and old and are absolutey amazing!!!
love bridge over troubled waters
Hi Doc....evening all :)
I was born in the early 60's...and do like some of the music...but give me 70's disco anyday :D

That was 70s i believe shanx,but a good song.
youre verging on goth silver ??
If i wasnt 42 i`d be goth,or emo.lol
Hehe, not really.
Although... I guess you could say that. I don't dress like it!!!
But I like 'emo'tional music. Most people would call me emo.
I guess we will only be able to tell in 20 years time when the longevity of these bands have been tested. I think most adults have experience of music from all eras and types, and so can judge a well-written song against a lame one that doesn't change the world. It frustrates me beyond belief that the students I teach at College will only listen to death metal. They are so arrogant and refuse to acknowledge that there is any other type of music. I can't tell them this, but in 2 years time the majority of them will outgrow it. It happens EVERY year.
hehe... hau kola... theres still time!!!
Silversky, the way Matt Bellamy structures his songs is far, far superior to the beatles. Its not about a hit melody, song verse structure.... it is the classical music of our time.

I find the 60s music a bit tinny and very dated, especially from the early parts. Thats not to say I dont like all of it. Im not really a fan but the motown sound is amazing and timeless and I have some rock legend favourites of course.
maybe aye maybe no silver lol : -)))))

Butterflies and hurricanes... One of the most amazing songs I've ever heard. By Matt Bellamy (and muse!)
Ignore the video, listen to the song.
(If you think all modern day music is sh1t, listen to this, it'll change your mind, believe me!!)
p.s listen to the WHOLE of it!

Goody, dont forget Matt Bellemys dad was in the Tornados. You can hear Telstar in Knights of Cydonia-very similar.
Aww bless... When I found out my mum like afew of my bands, I was well chuffed.
My dad also thinks Muse is amazing :D
I introduced him to muse, and he introduced me to pink floyd. 'tis only fair. hehe
